For most puppies, the first six months of life are filled with toys, naps, and learning that the world is a safe place.

That wasn't Luigis story.

Before he was rescued, Luigi was fighting to survive. He was placed on the euthanasia list simply because there wasnt enough space. At an age when he should have been discovering how to chase balls and make friends, he was learning how to stay alive.

Today, Luigi is safe, but emotionally, hes still catching up.
He needs someone who understands that healing takes time. Someone who will celebrate the little victories, be patient through the uncertain moments, and show him that life can be filled with kindness instead of fear.

Luigi is still learning how to be a dog. Hes discovering that meals come every day, that soft beds are meant to be slept in, and that people can offer gentle hands instead of hurt. Hes beginning to learn what it feels like to simply exist without worrying about where hell sleep or whether hell have to fight for what little he has.

Because of everything hes been through, Luigi would do best as the only dog in the home while he continues to decompress and build his confidence. With consistency, patience, and love, we know this sweet boy has so much potential to blossom into the dog he was always meant to be.

The most beautiful transformations are often the ones that take a little time.
