Meet Kermit
Kermit has never met a lap he didn't think he could fit into. This 16 month old Black Mouth Cur mix currently weighs 57 pounds and comes wrapped in a soft cream coat brushed with subtle tiger striping, floppy ears, and an expression that's equal parts sweet and silly. Calm, curious, and endlessly affectionate, he's happiest wherever his people are—and if he thinks you've forgotten he's there, he'll happily sing the songs of his people until the attention resumes.
Life has already thrown Kermit a few challenges. A previous run-in with a car left him healing from an injury to one eye and a slight hitch in his step from a broken pelvis, but neither has slowed him down or dampened his joyful spirit. In fact, he can now keep up with the best of them, and recently became a real-life hero by donating blood to help save another critically injured dog.
Kermit's favorite place has never been a particular room or a favorite bed. It's wherever his people happen to be. If that includes a lap and a cuddle, even better.

S.T.A.R. Group, Inc is a foster-based organization located in Corpus Christi, TX. All pets are in a foster home in South Texas and are transported once adopted. Our animals are listed in different cities throughout the country that has transport available.
Adoption Fee includes a microchip, all age-appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, current on recommended preventions and a ride on the next available transport to their new families' area.
Applications are processed in the order they are received. S.T.A.R. Group is made up of volunteers, so please give us a couple of days to begin processing your application.
