Danika - Black Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Rollingwood, Texas

Meet this beautiful little black girl! She's just 4 months old, and although she's still a baby, she's already been through more than any puppy ever should.

She was found alongside her mother and sister on the side of a dirt road bordering a highway in Guanajuato, Mexico. She was just a newborn. Sadly, she and her sister were the only survivors of the litter. The others were lost to passing cars and starvation because their mother simply didn't have enough milk to feed them all.

During a community sterilization campaign, the mother and her two surviving puppies were rescued and taken into care.

Today, this little survivor is healthy, happy, curious, and FULL OF PUPPY ENERGY!

Her mother has already found her forever home, and now it's her turn - along with her sister- to find a family of their own.
She's at that wonderful age when EVERYTHING is an adventure. She wants to explore the world, investigate every little thing, play, discover, and learn. She's still figuring out what life is about, and she'd love a patient family to guide her along the way.

So far, she's lived outdoors and sleeps in a little
doghouse. She's never really experienced the comforts of living inside a home. Just imagine introducing her to a cozy bed, soft blankets, family life, and the beautiful feeling of belonging.
She doesn't know what she's missing yet, but we do.

She's looking for someone willing to show her that the world can be a wonderful place.
