He is a black Labrador retriever mix, around 5 to 7 years old, with a low, sturdy build, short legs, and a soft graying muzzle that hints at his gentle, mature personality. When Henry is happy, and he is happy often, his whole body wags and his face breaks into a big open smile.

When Henry first arrived, he was struggling with mange and a poor skin condition that left him with patchy hair loss and irritated skin. He is now under veterinary care and responding well to treatment. His coat is filling back in, his skin is healing, and he looks and feels more like himself every day. He is a wonderful reminder of how much a little time and care can turn a dog around.

Henry has a calm, gentle, and very well behaved nature. He greets people warmly and seems happiest simply being near the people he loves. He also appears to be dog friendly and would do well with children.
