Audrey and Betty - Black Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Pass Christian, Mississippi

Betty and Audrey are looking for a special human with a gentle heart, These are indeed very special, sweet and gentle girls, despite their traumatic past.

They were recently rescued from a living hell in South Mississippi. Kept in a small filthy, poorly ventilated kennel that acted like an oven out in the brutal sun. We are hoping to go back for more dogs still suffering. But right now, we're focused on getting these girls a real home with a loving family.

Because of their past, Betty and Audrey are understandably timid and have a fear of almost everything—including leashes. But every single day, with kindness, patience, and gentle reassurance, they are making amazing progress. They are discovering that the world isn't scary, humans can be trusted, and life can be filled with love instead of neglect.


Health Status: Fully vaccinated, spayed, and—miraculously—heartworm negative! They are currently on monthly prevention.

Compatibility: They get along wonderfully with other dogs and cats.

Fun Side: They LOVE splashing in the wading pool, chasing balls, and occasionally returning them!

Fencing: They can be high-flying jumpers if the mood strikes, so a secure yard is a requirement

They do not have to stay together and may even do better apart.

Betty and Audrey are located in South Mississippi. We do virtual Meet 'n Greets for our out of town adopters. We can transport to several cities which is why they are listed all over the SE.

To adopt, please fill out an application (follow links) and one of our volunteers will call you if it looks like you may be a good fit. We prefer experience dog owners for these girls. We do check vet references. Be sure to fill out the application completely.
