Ebony - Black Labrador Retriever and Border Collie Dog for Adoption in Chinle, Arizona

Little Ebony (born 3rd wk in August 2026) is very people oriented.

At five weeks, she followed a caretaker into a cemetery after her abandonment only to get locked in by herself for her troubles. Her cries saved her with caring dene citizens who got her released and into the care of Blackhat fosters.

She is precocious and poised and easily trained with treats but she does portray an independent style.

She melts when kissed and snuggled dissolving her uppity attitude.

She lives with many other dogs and cats and is comfortable and confident.

She loves being around her people and will do best with someone who has a secure yard and the time to nurture her natural curiosity and will thrive with lots of attention.

She has an interesting water-repellent coat suggesting retriever or border collie in the blend.

And those eyes, look up unblinkingly at you as if asking "what are we doing next".

Ebony is an eager learner and will make an amazing best friend for someone who is an active adventurer and can show her kindness and positive reinforcement.
