Skillet — your future cuddle buddy with a quiet, gentle heart!
Looking for a sweet, affectionate young dog? Meet Skillet, an 8–10-month-old female Lab mix with a gorgeous black-to-dark-chocolate coat! This quiet, gentle puppy can be timid when meeting new people or experiencing new surroundings, but she warms up with a little time. Once she's comfortable, she loves food, cuddles, and simply being near her favorite humans.
Skillet is already doing wonderfully with her household routines. She's house-trained, crate-trained, and uses a dog door with ease. She's good with cats and other dogs, and her highly submissive, easygoing personality makes her a lovely addition to many different types of homes.
This low-energy girl enjoys a relaxed pace. She's a slowpoke on leash walks and prefers to follow behind you rather than pull ahead. She's also learning to enjoy car rides. At home, she's happiest relaxing nearby, enjoying a treat, or curling up for a nap. You might even hear her funny little grunts as she wiggles around to get comfortable!
Skillet will likely be around 50–60 pounds when fully grown. She's spayed and ready to find her forever family. While she may need a moment to settle in and find her groove, she doesn't need a perfect home or an elaborate introduction to happiness. A little patience while she adjusts, a loving environment, and some good snacks are a great place to start.
Ready to meet your new cuddle buddy? Contact us to ask about Skillet or set up a meet-and-greet. We'd love to introduce you to this sweet girl and help her find the loving forever home she's been waiting for!
