Hi! I’m Stella, located in Virginia.

Stella is a sweet 9-year-old Teddy Bear! (Bichon, Shih Tzu Mix) who weighs a perfect 10 pounds! This gentle little girl is a wonderful balance of independence and being social—she loves being right where the action is and hanging out beside her people!

She is also perfectly content doing her own thing. Stella is house-trained at her foster home, walks beautifully on a leash, has an excellent appetite, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. And, she never says no to a good nap! Because she can be a bit timid at first, she would thrive best in a home with older children who can give her just a little time to warm up and let her true, loving personality shine.

Stella will require a home with a small, friendly resident dog already in place, or someone at home most of the time. Children in the home must be at least 10 years old. These requirements are not flexible, as they are essential to ensuring that Stella transitions safely, adjusts successfully, and thrives in her new environment.
