We first met sweet Fezziwig when we rescued her from Chula Vista Shelter just two days before Christmas in 2024. She was adopted in January 2025, but through no fault of her own, she has recently returned to our care. We look forward to finding Fezziwig the loving, forever home she deserves, where she can enjoy her golden years as a cherished companion.
Before her adoption, Fezziwig enjoyed a two-week Frosted Fling, giving us a glimpse into what she's like in a home. Here's the wonderful report her foster family shared:
"Little Fez (Fezziwig) is such a sweetheart. She's curious, loves people, mostly a lap dog/couch potato but is now having occasional zoomies that are really fun. She's even played tag with me around the house.
Fez would love to be in a home where her person is around most of the time, or can take her with them! She travels so well, 5 minutes or 2 hour car rides- she's happy either way as long as she gets to come along. I took her to coffee shops and restaurants where she just sat in my lap and was happy to chill there.
Fez has been enjoying her walks so she can sniff all over the place. She's walking much better on leash now. (See video.) I've noticed that the more we go out and practice being around distractions (dogs, cats, people, squirrels), the easier it is for her.
Fez would whine then bark when I left her home alone for more than thirty minutes. I worked with her on time away from me, but the effort will likely need to continue in her forever home.
Other fun Fez facts:
-tries to be a koala when you pick her up
-curious about food but listens when you tell her it's not for her
-alert but not bothered around the vacuum or fireworks
-very consistently does doggie yoga to get herself stretched out in the morning
Fez loves a soft cozy spot above all else. This gal is a professional couch potato and snuggle buddy with a soulful gaze."
