Meet Libby

Libby is a beautiful Bernedoodle with a joyful personality and an enthusiasm for life that's hard not to love. At around 50 pounds, she's the kind of dog who's just as happy heading out for a walk as she is stretching out at your feet after a busy day.

One of the first things you'll notice about Libby is that she absolutely loves hugs. If you're sitting down, don't be surprised if she leans right in for a cuddle or gently asks for one. She's affectionate without being clingy and genuinely enjoys spending time with her people.

Libby has settled into foster care beautifully over the past few weeks. She's house trained, knows "sit" and "shake a paw," and enjoys learning new things. She walks nicely on leash and regularly looks back to check in with her person while she's out exploring. She's smart, eager to please, and enjoys spending time with her family.

At home, Libby has a wonderful balance of energy. She enjoys running around the yard, playing with her toys, and being part of whatever is going on, but she's equally content relaxing once she's had a chance to burn off some energy.

She's currently living with another dog and has done very well after slow, thoughtful introductions. She would likely enjoy having a friendly canine companion in her forever home. Libby also lives with a cat. She can occasionally get a little enthusiastic during play, but she responds well to redirection and is learning appropriate boundaries.

Libby is also a bit of a neighbourhood watch captain. If she hears a noise outside or spots someone walking past the house, she'll be sure to let you know.

Because she's an enthusiastic girl who can jump up when she's excited, we're looking for a home with teenagers or adults rather than young children.

Libby's Ideal Home
- An active individual, couple, or family with teenagers
- A securely fenced yard, as Libby is a flight risk
- Another friendly resident dog would be a wonderful match
- A family who enjoys an active lifestyle and will include her in everyday adventures
- A family that doesn't mind giving—and receiving—lots of hugs

Libby is the kind of dog who makes you smile without even trying.
Whether she's bouncing through the yard, checking in with you on a walk, or asking for one more hug before settling down for the evening, she has a way of making every day a little brighter. She's ready to find a family who will love her for the fun, affectionate girl she is and give her the happy life she deserves.
