Belgian Shepherd Malinois and Akita Dogs Available for Adoption in Marietta, Ohio

Petunia is a beautiful 2-year old female Belgian Malinois mix who was surrendered by her owner on April 17, 2026.

This gorgeous girl has a fawn/tan coat, a long curled tail, and a classic Malinois face with a light tan mask, a slender muzzle, and large erect ears.

Her original owner reported that Petunia is not good with children.

These photos of Petunia were taken on April 24, 2026 when HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Lynn Moore accompanied Petunia for outdoor glamour pictures. Petunia is understandably a bit nervous being in a kennel/floor crate in an unfamiliar place and her whole world has been turned upside down. Tracy and some of the HSOV Kennel Techs have gained Petunia's trust so that she realizes she is among friends who love her and are 'in her corner' to make sure that she finds a perfect home. With Tracy by her side, Petunia posed beautifully for her Petfinder/Facebook photo debut.

Petunia had not yet stepped on the scales for a weigh-in when these photos were taken, but she likely weighs 70 lbs or so.

Petunia will be looking for a loving home with an individual or family who is experienced with the Belgian Malinois breed.
