Mabel - Beagle Dog for Adoption in South Plainfield, New Jersey

This little beauty is Mabel. This moderately active young lady is 2 years old and looking to find a family that loves life as much as she does. Mable is working to perfect her house-training skills, and these will need to be finalized by her forever family. She is crate trained, keeping it clean and dry. She sleeps through the night in her crate or, on occasion, has had the run of the house overnight. Mabel does OK walking on lead, but this skill will also require training from her forever family.
So, what does Mabel enjoy?! This little gal thoroughly enjoys everything about life, her human companions, cuddling and extracting all the affection and belly rubs she can get. She also enjoys playing with soft toys and Nyla bones followed by all the affection she can get! Her best game is hiding shoes from her foster mom and dad. Mabel thoroughly enjoys a nice ride in the care, is beginning to understand commands, gets along well with the senior dog in the foster home and very eager to please her foster family.

We are looking for a moderately active family with energy to match Mabel's. Children would be great as would another dog. We believe she would do well in an apartment, condo or free standing house. She is not vocal, so barking is not a consideration.

2. Please allow 5-7 business days for us to review and respond to your application.
3. Approved applicants will be invited to come meet me at a scheduled meet and greet or adoption event.
4. If both you and the rescue agree that the dog you meet is a good fit for your home, you will fill out an adoption contract and exchange a small adoption fee. Your dog can go home the day of the Meet & Greet.
5. We generally adopt to families within a 90 mile radius of our home base in Piscataway, NJ but may consider farther distances in the tri-state region if volunteers are available. If you live beyond our geographical boundaries, we hope you will contact rescue organizations closer to your home.
