Rizzo, also known as Munch, is back with us.
Rizzo’s world was turned upside down when his dad’s health began to decline, and Rizzo needed to return to K9 Kindness. We are so incredibly sad for both of them. Saying goodbye to someone you love is hard enough, but having circumstances force that goodbye is heartbreaking. Our hearts are with Rizzo and his former dad.
Rizzo is struggling a little right now. He misses his dad terribly and is a boy who forms a very strong bond with his person. He doesn’t particularly enjoy being left home alone, especially after everything he has been through.
We are just grateful that we can be his soft place to land while we figure out what comes next.
Rizzo is looking for a very special forever home, ideally with someone who is retired, works from home, or is simply home more often than not. He can be crated and left alone, and once he settles, he does just fine. He just really, really prefers having his person around.
He LOVES going for walks and is an absolute champ in the car.
Please share to help us find Rizzo his forever home.
Rizzo is approximately 7 years old and 25#. He is neutered, current on vaccines and prevention and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $300. To meet him, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.
Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
