Fonzie - Poodle and Miniature Schnauzer Dog for Adoption in Riverdale, Iowa

Fonzie is an approximately 11 month old Schnauzer/Poodle mix. He is a silvery gray little guy with an expressive face! Many have said his face looks sad, but the truth is, Fonzie is the life of the party!

Fonzie came to us with some pretty serious mats, so he had to be shaved down. We can already tell that once his gorgeous coat grows back, hes going to be one seriously handsome dude! He will need ongoing professional grooming.

Fonzie seems to love just about everyone he meets and is dog friendly. We think he is a little much for cats. He hasnt hurt any cats in his foster home, but he certainly drives them nutso!He absolutely LOVES toys and would happily spend his day playing, exploring, and keeping you on your toes. Hes a smart little pup who needs plenty of enrichment, mental stimulation, exercise, and positive reinforcement training to keep his busy brain occupied.

Fonzie is doing really well on potty training, but still needs supervision and will need patience as he adjusts to a new schedule. Fonzie has gotten the hang of using his crate for quiet time.

Fonzie is an energetic puppy and can get easily overstimulated. When he gets too wound up, he needs his humans to recognize that hes reached his limit and help him take a break. Hell need a family who understands that teaching an energetic dog how to settle is just as important as teaching him how to sit.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
