We are looking for a loving home for puppy Mocha! This sweet Beagle is now 8 months old and has left a big imprint on everyone at the rescue.
Over the summer, Mocha came to us after suffering a traumatic brain injury. The injury left her completely blind in one eye and with reduced vision in the other. It also left her with a head tilt and a wonky gait. When Mocha gets excited or tries to run, she may stumble over her own feet. But that doesn’t stop her from running, playing, and prancing after the other dogs. She is a happy, playful girl!
Mocha is wonderful with other dogs. During the months in our care, she's met dozens of dogs with different playstyles and temperaments. She would love a canine companion or a dog friend who is patient with her playful antics and happy to have a sidekick around.
Mocha would benefit from a home with a yard. Her leash skills are still a work in progress, and she much prefers having the freedom to explore and run around. We also don't think apartment living would be the best fit for this girl; she is a true beagle and will howl and bay when she wants something or when it's time for dinner.
Mocha weighs just under 11 pounds and will likely remain a smaller-sized Beagle when fully grown. She's still very puppyish and will gnaw on fingers, sweater sleeves, and a myriad of other items if she finds the opportunity. She'll need a family ready to guide her through typical puppy antics on top of her special needs.
Mocha is a special little bean with so much love to give. She has a one-of-a-kind personality, and we can't wait to find her the special home she deserves.
Mocha is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. If you're interested in giving Mocha a home, please complete an application at https://www.vintagepetrescue.org/adopt
