Meet Nala!
This sweet, two year old Beagle girl came to STAF alongside her friend, Simba, after being kept in a barn by their previous owner. The two were facing an uncertain future when they were posted on Facebook instead of being sold at a local market. Thankfully, one of the rescues we work with stepped in to help, and Nala and Simba eventually made their way to STAF.
Nala can be a little shy when experiencing new things, but underneath that initial hesitation is the sweetest, most affectionate girl. She absolutely loves being petted and soaking up gentle attention from her human friends. She’s still learning what it means to be a dog and figuring out the big, exciting world around her, but she’s already come out of her shell so much since arriving at STAF! Nala loves being outside with her buddy Simba, and she loves nothing more than to sniff every corner of the yard.
Nala would love a loving, understanding family who can help her continue to build confidence at her own pace. Someone familiar with Beagles and their unique traits could be a wonderful match for this special girl! She’ll need a home where she can feel safe, loved, and supported as she discovers all the wonderful things life has to offer.
Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***
Adoption through STAF includes full vetting of the dogs, including a spay/neuter at 6 months (female)/9month (male) maximum.
We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
We do request vet and personal references.
We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
