Fred - Beagle and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Aiken, South Carolina

Fred is a 3-year-old Beagle mix who walks into every room like he already knows he’s going to be friends with everyone in it. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t overthink life. He just shows up happy, tail wagging, ready for whatever the day has planned.

He gets along with other dogs, loves kids, and has that easygoing “I’m just happy to be here” energy that makes him fit into just about any home. Playtime? He’s in. A walk around the neighborhood? He’s already at the door. A lazy afternoon in the sun? Even better.

Fred isn’t demanding attention, he just naturally earns it. With his soft eyes, constant grin, and steady good mood, he has a way of making ordinary days feel a little lighter.

He’s not looking for a perfect home. He’s looking for his people. Fred is ready when you are.

Fred is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

Given the conditions Fred originated from, upon rescue, hetested positive for Heartworm disease. Thanks to Home for Good Dog Rescue, Fred has completed his Heartworm treatment.

It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs, and associated blood vessels of affected animals, causing severe lung disease, heart failure, and damage to other organs in the body. Mosquitoes are carriers of heartworms and have the ability to infect dogs all year round, especially in the Southeastern portion of the United States and during the summer months.*
