Clementine is built like a tiny woodland creature but carries herself like the assistant manager of a Texas Roadhouse. Four pounds of confidence, leadership skills, and deeply unnecessary bravery.
Out of all her siblings, Clementine is one of the first to volunteer for absolutely anything. New people? She’s already walking over. New dogs? Fantastic. New environment? She’ll personally inspect it and report back to the group. This little shepherd/beagle mix girl has never once considered the possibility that the world might not revolve around her, and honestly? It’s working out beautifully for her.
She’s social, outgoing, affectionate, and just the right amount of bossy to be hilarious. Not in a mean way. More like she has the energy of a tiny kindergarten teacher trying to keep the rest of the litter organized. You can absolutely picture her standing in the yard like: “Okay everybody settle down. We are chasing THIS leaf now.”
Her mama is a beagle mix around 35–40 pounds, and Clementine seems to have inherited the best possible combination of beagle charm and retriever-like friendliness. She’s playful without being overwhelming, confident without being difficult, and incredibly people-oriented. She genuinely loves being involved in whatever’s happening.
And this girl LOVES other dogs. We would especially love for Clementine and her siblings to go into homes with another dog whenever possible because this litter truly thrives with companionship. Clementine especially seems like the type to immediately appoint herself assistant cruise director of the household pack.
She’s also wonderful with kids, friendly with strangers, exposed to cats without issue, and overall just one of those naturally adaptable puppies that fits into life almost immediately.
Clementine has this unbelievably funny serious little face sometimes, like she’s carrying the operational responsibility for the entire household despite weighing less than a bag of flour. Meanwhile her actual responsibilities currently include taking naps, wrestling with siblings, and trying to determine whether sticks are edible.
Of course, she’s still a baby, so she’ll need all the normal puppy basics — potty training, leash training, and learning that she cannot physically supervise every single thing happening in the home at all times. But she’s eager to please, very trainable, and has the kind of outgoing personality that makes people fall in love with her ridiculously fast.
You can already picture life with Clementine: another dog following behind her through the yard, little paws trotting through the kitchen, somebody making you laugh daily without even trying, and a puppy who somehow becomes the center of the household entirely by accident.
Clementine doesn’t just have personality. She has committee chairperson energy.

The Truth About Rescue:
Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.
Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.
Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.
