DESCRIPTION
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Honey is a 1-year-old spayed female basset who may also be part Lab. She is housetrained, sleeps through the night, is easy going, loves to play and to chew on bones, and whimpers and whines when left alone. With cats, Honey will chase them if they run but she doesn't bother with them. She is in good health. Honey is being surrendered because she has recently taken a dislike to the senior dog in the home, although she is still playful and friendly with the family's younger dog. Honey is said to be good with children, but her size, strength, and exuberance can knock a toddler over. She could be a good match for a home with a dog of similar young age and activity level as herself, or as an only dog.
ABOUT: BASSET HOUND DOG BREED
The Basset Hound is a unique and recognizable breed known for its long body, droopy ears, and soulful eyes. Originating from France, they were originally bred for hunting small game like rabbits due to their keen sense of smell and sturdy build. Despite their laid back and affectionate nature, Basset Hounds are also persistent and independent thinkers, which can make training a bit challenging. With their low energy levels and love for lounging, they make wonderful companion dogs for families seeking a loyal and easygoing pet.
