Ripley - Basset Hound and Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Mountain Center, California

Meet Ripley, a sweet little girl with a big heart and a brave spirit!

Ripley may find the world a little intimidating right now, but that doesn't stop her from trying her very best. She's a curious girl who wants to learn about all the new sights, sounds, and experiences around her, even if she needs a little extra encouragement along the way. When things get overwhelming, being carried by someone she trusts is one of her favorite comforts.

Fairly laid-back and full of quiet sweetness, Ripley is the kind of puppy who reminds us that bravery doesn't always mean being fearless. Sometimes, it's simply taking one small step forward, even when things feel a little scary. With patience, kindness, and plenty of reassurance, Ripley is ready to keep building her confidence and discovering just how wonderful the world can be.

Are you the special person who will help Ripley spread her wings (or paws!) and grow into the confident companion she's meant to be?

The Basset Hound is a unique and recognizable breed known for its long body, droopy ears, and soulful eyes. Originating from France, they were originally bred for hunting small game like rabbits due to their keen sense of smell and sturdy build. Despite their laid back and affectionate nature, Basset Hounds are also persistent and independent thinkers, which can make training a bit challenging. With their low energy levels and love for lounging, they make wonderful companion dogs for families seeking a loyal and easygoing pet.

The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.
