Jenga - Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Troy, Illinois

We rescued gorgeous Jenga from an overcrowding situation where she had little interaction with people and was surrounded by loads of dogs. We didn't know at the time that she was pregnant and she quickly gave birth to the most beautiful puppies.

All her babies found homes and now Jenga is ready for her happy life. Jenga is an Australian shepherd who is just about 2 years old. She's relatively low key and likes to just be by your side or sleep on the couch. She's starting to play with balls and toys and will go outside and run with other dogs but is most often submissive.

Jenga is very smart and has learned “wait” and “come” and is working on “sit” and “shake.” She is doing a fantastic job with potty training and is learning to walk on a leash and spend time in a crate.

Jenga loves new experiences and would really appreciate an active home where she gets to go on adventures. We want her to have a physically fenced backyard where she can wander around safely and be curious about her surroundings. She'd prefer not to be left alone for big chunks of the day.

Jenga would love a home with a friendly dog or two, but she would be fine as the solo dog as long as she had people to keep her company.
