Moon - Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Sonoma, California

Moon is a gorgeous double-merle Australian Shepherd with a gentle spirit and an unforgettable story. This sweet boy survived as a stray in California's Central Valley for quite some time before a determined group of rescuers was finally able to bring him to safety.
Despite everything he has been through, Moon is remarkably loving, happy, and affectionate. He is on the smaller side for an Aussie and has a wonderfully sweet nature that makes him easy to fall in love with.

Moon was recently neutered and fully evaluated by our veterinarian. At some point during his time as a stray, he was likely struck by a car. Several bones healed improperly before he was rescued, so he will always walk with a slightly unusual gait. Thankfully, it does not appear to bother him or slow him down. Moon still enjoys exploring, playing, and taking part in life just like any other happy dog.

Moon is looking for a safe, loving home where he will never again have to worry about finding food or shelter. After surviving so much on his own, he deserves a family who will cherish his resilience, embrace his unique little walk, and give him the comfortable future he has been waiting for.
