Benji loves going for walks, playing tug, exploring the world around him, and then curling up in your lap when it's time to relax. He has an adorable smile that is guaranteed to brighten your day, and one of his favorite things is leaning against his people while soaking up belly rubs and affection.

While Benji can be a little shy when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and forms deep bonds with those he loves. Once you're part of his circle, you'll have a loyal companion who wants to be by your side through all of life's adventures. He doesn't enjoy being far from his people and is happiest when he can spend quality time with them.

Benji is a smart boy who already knows an impressive list of tricks, including sit, paw, down, roll over, spin, and wait. He is both treat and attention motivated, eager to please, and a great listener. He is fully house trained, crate trained, and can comfortably stay home alone for a few hours when needed.

Like many devoted dogs, Benji can become a little jealous when sharing attention and may resource guard his favorite human with other dogs. He is in a fostered in a home with other dogs. However, he think he would thrive as the only dog in the home where he can enjoy being the center of his family's world. He enjoys playing with canine friends and meets new friends easily but he appreciates having time to decompress and recharge afterward.

Benji enjoys looking out the window and proudly alerting his family to any potential “dangers” outside. He loves dog chews and isn't picky about treats or toys—if it comes from his favorite people, he's happy. Stuffed toys, however, don't tend to last very long around him!
