Rosey is an Aussiedor, that is an Australian Shepherd / Yellow Lab Mix. She was born on 5/28/2023. Rosey weighs about 50-pounds. She is spayed,
Rosey thrives when she has structure, exercise, space, and a calm environment.
Some of the things she desires in her new home:
A quiet house with a securely fenced yard
Consistent exercise
Daily structure/predictable schedule and routine
Patience with shy/anxious behavior
30+ minutes of fetch daily (her favorite thing in the world)
Walks or hikes
Mental stimulation and food toys
Rosey is:
Extremely loyal
Very food motivated
Smart and trainable
Loving with people she trusts
Playful and high energy
Obsessed with fetch and balls
A great sleeper and cuddle buddy
Because Rosey wasn't socialized as a puppy, she has some anxiety about typical things dogs get nervous about: strangers, loud environments like busy traffic streets, fireworks, green bin trucks, crowds of people, etc. Rosey is also leash reactive.
Rosey knows lots of tricks: Be nice, bedtime, timeout, ball, play, shake, high five, sit, take rest. She is crate-trained and sees her crate as her safe place. She is extremely food- and ball-motivated. She does well at professional groomers and even lets them trim her nails.
In the spirit of honesty, Rosey is the messiest water drinker I've ever seen and somehow gets water all over the floor no matter what.
Rosey is looking for an experienced, patient home who understands high-energy working-breed dogs. She is currently living in an apartment setting which has all the triggers to set her up for anxiety. A home with a fenced yard will be ideal for Rosey.
