Shelby’s Story — formerly Regan
You may remember this beautiful girl as Regan. After she was adopted, her family renamed her Shelby, and that’s the name she has come to know. Due to a change in her owner’s circumstances, Shelby has returned to us and is once again looking for her forever home.
Shelby is a gorgeous 5-year-old, 45 lb Australian Shepherd mix and the definition of a Velcro dog. She bonds deeply with her person and loves being right by your side—whether you’re relaxing on the couch, moving around the house, or happen to be doing something involving food.
She is smart, affectionate and very food motivated. Shelby knows Sit and Touch, loves puzzle toys and enrichment activities, and thrives with routine and having something to do. She has that wonderful Aussie brain and enjoys using it!
Like many herding breeds, Shelby is alert and likes to keep tabs on everything around her. She would do best with a securely fenced yard, and a family familiar with Aussies or herding breeds would be a plus. Older children or adults would be ideal.
Most of all, Shelby is looking for someone who wants a devoted best friend. Give this girl your heart, and she’ll happily be your shadow.
Adoption fee $250.00
