Meet Nova! This 2.5-year-old, 22-pound Australian Shepherd mix is a petite sweetheart with a big heart! She's up to date on vaccines, crate trained, mostly house trained, smart, a quick learner and scheduled to be spayed. She loves playing with other dogs and cuddling on the couch with her favorite humans.

Nova can be nervous around new people, especially men. Let's just say she's not ready to join a men's fan club just yet! When she first meets men, fear can cause her to bark and nip at heels, thanks in part to her herding instincts. But she's learning every day that men aren't so scary after all! She's a smart girl who picks things up quickly and is making progress with patience and positive experiences.

Nova needs a patient, understanding family willing to continue building her confidence and helping her navigate new situations. Another playful dog would be a bonus!
