Some dogs are friendly. Some dogs are playful. Some dogs are cuddly.
And then theres Ranger, who somehow decided he wanted to be all three at the same time.
Ranger is about a year old and we think he may be an Australian Shepherd/Lab mix, but with rescue its always a guess. What isnt a guess is that this boy is pure joy wrapped in fur.
Ranger absolutely loves life. He wakes up ready to play, ready to make friends, and ready to be involved in whatever adventure youre having. Going for a walk? Count him in. Hiking? Absolutely. Playing fetch in the backyard? His favorite. Hanging out on the couch afterward? Also his favorite.
This sweet boy adores people and wants everyone to be his friend. He has the kind of happy, goofy personality that makes strangers smile and turns ordinary days into fun ones.

When it comes to other animals, Ranger is basically the mayor of the neighborhood. He is fostered with dogs ranging from 2 pounds to 90 pounds and gets along beautifully with all of them. Big dogs, little dogs, playful dogs, Ranger loves them all. He would be thrilled to have a playful canine sibling, but mostly he just wants friends to romp around with.
And cats? No problem there either. Ranger lives with feline friends and coexists wonderfully with them. Hes happy to say hello and then continue on with his day.
Hes also done great with children and has a sweet, gentle nature that makes him an easy companion to have around.
While Ranger is definitely a puppy at heart and has lots of energy to burn, hes also an Olympic-level cuddler. After a day of playing, hell happily pile onto the couch, snuggle with his people, or curl up next to one of his doggy siblings for a nap.
Ranger would love an active family that enjoys walks, adventures, exploring new places, and including their dog in everyday life. A yard would be ideal for this energetic boy because he truly loves to run, play, and stretch those long legs.
One thing to know about Ranger is that he loves his people a lot. He can be vocal when left alone because hed much rather be hanging out with his family than spending time by himself. Hes a sensitive boy with a big heart who forms strong bonds with the people he loves.
At the end of the day, Ranger is the kind of dog people dream about finding: dog-friendly, cat-friendly, kid-friendly, handsome, goofy, affectionate, adventurous, and overflowing with love.
