Your $200 adoption fee covers everything your new best friend needs to start their new life with you:

À Up to date vaccinations including rabies vaccine and tag (ages 3 months and older)

ADOPTION PROCESS
À Adopter must be 18 years of age or older with a valid government issued photo ID
À Complete your online adoption application
À Our team will reach out to schedule your Meet and Greet with the pet and an Adoption Coordinator -- virtual options available when needed
À Please bring a secure leash or travel carrier with you at pickup
À We accept cash, check, money orders, and debit or credit cards -- please note a processing fee applies to all card transactions


SPAY AND NEUTER POLICY
For pets who are not yet spayed or neutered at the time of adoption:

À A signed Spay and Neuter Agreement is required
À A fully refundable $100 cash deposit will be collected at adoption
À Your deposit is returned in full upon proof of completed surgery -- which is already covered in your adoption fee

ADOPTION PACKAGE
Thank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Each dog adoption fee of $200 includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine and tag (age 3 months and up), microchip, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative, a free starter bag of Hills Science Diet, and coupons from area businesses.

Please make sure you review the following as part of the adoption process:

À Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.
À A current government-issued photo ID (no student IDs) - such as a driver's license, state ID, passport, military ID, etc.
À Have a Meet and Greet with the animal and our adoption coordinator (These can be a virtual Meet and Greet session due to COVID-19)
À Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier with them when picking up their new pet.
À The Haven accepts cash, check, debit/credit cards, or money orders.

* For adopters of cats and dogs aged 6 months or less, or those with a medical condition preventing immediate spaying or neutering, The Haven requires a signed Spay/Neuter (S/N) Agreement and a $100 cash deposit, refundable upon completion of the spay/neuter procedure.
