Dolly Pawton is a 3-year-old female Chihuahua/Beagle mix weighing about 20 pounds, and she is proof that great things come in small packages! Dolly has a playful personality, a loving heart, and a special talent for making herself right at home in your heart.

She is house-trained, good with kids, and absolutely loves to snuggle. Dolly is happiest when her person is nearby, so she would love a home where she can be part of the family and stay close to the people she loves.

Fun Side

Dolly is a food-motivated little girl, and treats can bring out her inner kangaroo! She can jump with impressive enthusiasm when she knows a tasty reward is coming.

She is kennel trained and does okay on a leash, although she could benefit from continued leash training. Dolly also loves sunshine and warm weather. Give her a sunny spot and she’ll happily soak up those rays, but she definitely prefers warmer days over chilly ones.

While Dolly can be a little skittish when meeting new people, she warms up quickly once she feels comfortable. With patience, kindness, and a little time, her sweet personality shines through.

Sweet Side

Dolly’s favorite place is right beside her person. She loves attention, affection, and, most of all, snuggling. She’s the kind of companion who wants to be part of whatever you’re doing and would happily keep you company throughout the day.

Dolly has been wonderful with a 1.5-year-old child and has previously done well with an older dog in the home. She has never been around cats, so her compatibility with them is unknown.

Once Dolly feels safe and comfortable, she is affectionate, playful, and eager to bond. She has so much love to give and would thrive with a family willing to give her the same in return.

ADOPTION FEE -- $200
Your $200 adoption fee covers everything your new best friend needs to start their new life with you:

· Spay or neuter surgery
· Up-to-date vaccinations, including rabies vaccine and tag (ages 3 months and older)
· Microchip and registration
· Deworming
· Heartworm test and treatment if positive (ages 6 months and older)
· Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
· FREE starter bag of Hill's Science Diet
· Coupons from local pet-friendly businesses


ADOPTION PROCESS
· Adopter must be 18 years of age or older with a valid government-issued photo ID
· Complete your online adoption application
· Our team will reach out to schedule your Meet and Greet with the pet and an Adoption Coordinator -- virtual options available when needed
· Please bring a secure leash or travel carrier with you at pickup
· We accept cash, check, money orders, and debit or credit cards -- please note a processing fee applies to all card transactions


SPAY AND NEUTER POLICY
For pets who are not yet spayed or neutered at the time of adoption:

· A signed Spay and Neuter Agreement is required
· A fully refundable $100 cash deposit will be collected at adoption
· Your deposit is returned in full upon proof of completed surgery -- which is already covered in your adoption fee
