Lucee
Luccee is a super sweet spayed 43 lb. female Aussie mix with unique
merle coloring, a docked tail and adorable ears. Her estimated age is 8 yrs young. Rescued from a euthanasia list in an overcrowded shelter, she has adjusted very well to her quiet rural life with two active humans and one foster 7 yr old Aussie brother. Here is her progress over the last month’s foster home stay:

Luccee’s demeaner has gone from timid to extroverted with a wagging nubbin tail. It is hilarious to watch her prance, play and run with her humans and resident dog outdoors.

-medium energy outdoors with a calm disposition in the home.
– enjoys companionship of another dog, chasing balls and playing with non-squeaky toys
-fully housetrained and has had no in-house accidents.
-no aggression or resource guarding
– submissive to humans and other dogs
– easily handled for brushings, pettings and rolls over for a belly rub at every opportunity
– crates quietly when left alone, for meals and overnight sleep, waiting patiently for human to awaken and start the day.
– no separation anxiety
– calm and quiet for car travel
– reserved at first but warms up to visitors in the home and meeting people and dogs in public places
– wants to please and is treat- motivated for learning sessions of the commands of “Sit”, “Down” “Wait” and “Watch Me”.
– good recall to her name with ongoing recall and off leash (20ft lead) training in the foster home.

Luccee is an absolute dream girl! She is looking for human (s) companionship to share her love of the outdoors with walks/playtime and who will continue to work on her confidence in new situations. Previous home indicates no cats.
