Levvi - Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Collegeville, Pennsylvania

Levvi is a 43 lb, neutered, three year-old male, red tri Aussie who arrived into foster care from an Amish farm. Levvi was an outdoor dog with less than average human interaction.

Well, what a difference a few weeks can make! Levvi has learned to walk on a leash, walk up and down stairs, ride in a car, acclimate to the indoors and, of course, enjoy bully sticks! What an accomplishment!

He has done extremely well housebreaking and becoming familiar with people and indoor house sounds and daily activity. He has a few favorite spots in the house where he enjoys quiet time, but mostly enjoys hanging out with his person, whether doing computer work, sewing or watching TV... He has made tremendous progress in his foster family’s quiet home where he is the only animal. He does not seek continuous attention; he is a joy who quickly captures your heart.

He is very aware of his surroundings and watches carefully with his blue eye and his brown eye. This very handsome boy can best be described as shy, cautious, sweet, and continuing to become accustomed to life and sounds both indoors and out. He seeks reassurance with loud or sharp noises. He is gradually becoming more confident during walks and learning that people are not scary. He has done well with slow introductions to neighbors both inside and outside the home. Levvi is slowly being introduced to neighborhood dogs as he continues to gain confidence living in an actual neighborhood with walkers, bikes and other dogs. His foster home continues to introduce him to toys and remains hopeful he will learn the joy and exercise they can bring.

Levvi would do best in a home with a multitude of kindness and patience where he can evolve at his own pace with a solid understanding of where he came from and what kind of boy he will be with consistency, kindness and love.
