Meet Bandit!
Bandit is a 9-month-old puppy who is looking for the loving forever home he deserves! Bandit was bottle-raised after being rescued from a steel mill in Houston alongside his seven siblings. While all of his siblings found homes, Bandit unfortunately ended up being left outside on a 4-acre property with very little training, attention, or guidance. When normal puppy behavior like chewing became an issue, his family chose to give him up rather than work with him. Thankfully, Bandit was taken back and given the opportunity to learn and thrive!
Since then, Bandit has made incredible progress. He is now fully crate trained and sleeps in his crate every night, is potty trained, knows how to sit, and knows his name. He has also learned how to play with toys and, more importantly, how to appropriately play with other dogs—things he had never learned before!
Bandit is a happy, playful puppy who does best with other dogs that enjoy playing. We would love to see him in a home with a fun canine companion who can keep up with his puppy energy. He currently sees cats as toys and wants to chase them, so a cat-free home would be best unless his adopter is willing to provide consistent, controlled training to teach him appropriate behavior around cats.
Bandit is fully vaccinated, up to date on heartworm and flea prevention, and is neutered.
Bandit is still young, and he has already shown just how much he can learn when given patience, structure, and love. We truly believe he has all the makings of a wonderful companion who will bond closely with his person. He just needs someone willing to continue helping him learn and give him the forever home he has been waiting for.
If you're looking for a playful, loving young dog and are ready to help him continue growing into the amazing companion we know he can be, Bandit may be your boy!
