Buck - Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Bryan, Ohio

Buck is a staff favorite here at WCHS. He came in with a large group of animals as part of a humane case. If you see Buck and he doesn’t know you, odds are you see him acting like a fool and behaving as if it’s not safe for anyone to get near him. Kennel stress is a real thing....plus we believe Buck was never socialized properly. We’ve never seen him be aggressive with people, although it sure does seem like he could be. Buck is afraid of the big scary world he’s living in and just needs a patient person to show him it. Truth be told, he’s one of the sweetest dogs in our care currently. He needs to get to know new people with slow introductions. We would love to have you get to know Buck like we do. So if you can look past the initial shock of how he behaves in a kennel, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at just how great this boy is. Buck walks decent on a leash, but he does occasionally stop and freeze when heading towards new things. We feel with some training and confidence


building this will be quick to resolve itself. He isn’t currently potty trained, but he spent the start of his life in an outdoor kennel before coming to WCHS. Buck shows little interest in cats, in fact at his old home he was buddies with the outdoor cats that roamed the property. He’s fairly young, so is very trainable. Bucks adoption fee is $245. He is fixed and UTD on all preventatives and vaccines.
