SATURDAY, JUNE 13 from 12-3PM: DOG ADOPTION EVENT at the OLATHE PETSMART at 119th & Strang Line with volunteers from Heart of America Humane Society. We'll have several wonderful dogs there looking for homes!

SATURDAY, JUNE 13 from 12 to 3PM: ADOPTION DAY at SUTHERLANDS, located at 16665 W 151st St, Olathe, KS 66062. Come see us and find your new best friend! We will be there with adoptable dogs and Meowy Matchmakers will be bringing adoptable cats.

SATURDAY, JUNE 13 from 12 TO 3PM: BARKS & BBQ event at RAWHIDE HARLEY DAVIDSON located at 725 N Rawhide Dr, Olathe, KS 66061. Rawhide Harley is hosting this free event with BBQ, cold drinks, and music. Bring your four-legged companions, there will be special treats for your dogs, water stations to keep them refreshed, and lots of opportunities for them to make new canine friends. NEO didn't come to us knowing people could be kind.

This sweet boy was a frightened stray who had to be trapped because he was just that scared of the world around him. When he first arrived, he was completely shut down.

But little by little, Neo is starting to let his guard down. He's befriended another timid dog, Kai, and they love to hang out together and Neo feels so much safer with Kai by his side. Having another dog in his new home would help socialize Neo so much.

Neo is incredibly gentle and has never shown any aggression. He just needs someone patient enough to let him move at his own pace and show him what love feels like.

The best things in life take time... and Neo is going to be one of those dogs. The kind that slowly learns to trust you, follows you room to room, and loves you with his whole heart because you were patient enough to help him feel safe.

Neo is a 1 Year Old Australian Kelpie Mix and he weighs 48 lbs.


ADOPTING A DOG
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).

If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.

We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
