Cider - Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dog for Adoption in Plainfield, Connecticut

Meet Cider—A Fresh Start with Four Little Paws!

Cider is a male Cattle Dog/Lab mix who will be 8 weeks old and ready to join his family on November 7!

Shopping list: puppy food, chew toys, a cozy bed, and a little extra phone storage for approximately a million pictures. Cider is looking for a family ready to welcome all the fun and responsibility of a growing puppy!

He’ll need consistent help with potty training, puppy manners, and learning to feel comfortable in new situations. With his Cattle Dog/Lab background, adopters should be ready for a potentially active, clever dog who enjoys play, training, and time with his people.

The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
