Kelly is a 5 1/2 month old , about 17 pounds, male, blue heeler/border collie mix. This little guy is so sweet, and unlike his breeds may lead you to believe, this pup is very chill... I would even call him low energy.
Kelly just came in yesterday, but is already doing well with both crate and house training. He sleeps quietly in a crate all night. He’s caught on to walking on a leash, with an occasional small hiccup.
If you’ve just found your guy, just fill out an application at hwhanimalrescue.com
ABOUT: AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG BLUE HEELER DOG BREED
The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
The Border Collie is a highly intelligent and energetic dog breed known for their herding capabilities and exceptional obedience. Originating from the border regions of Scotland and England, these agile and versatile dogs are famous for their focus, stamina, and trainability. With their striking black and white coat and intense gaze, Border Collies excel in various canine sports and activities, making them ideal companions for active families and individuals seeking a loyal and dynamic pet.
