Meet Marigold: a joyful, goofy girl with a smile that will brighten your day! Marigold is a 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing in at around 45lbs. She is currently located in HOUSTON, TEXAS but can be transported out of state to an approved adopter.
Marigold is the kind of dog who reminds you to enjoy the little things. Whether she's chasing a ball, zooming around with her dog friends, or stopping by for a hug, her enthusiasm for life is contagious. Her goofy play faces and happy grin are sure to make you smile.
Marigold loves to play! She enjoys high-speed games of chase, wrestling, and tug with other dogs. Her play style is energetic and a little rough-and-tumble, making her a great match for dogs that enjoy active play. She's played well with dogs ranging from 19 to 50 pounds. On walks, she gets excited when she sees other dogs, greeting them with a wagging tail and bouncy body. She may raise her hackles in excitement, but it's simply part of her enthusiastic greeting.
With moderate energy, Marigold would love a family that enjoys daily walks, games of fetch, and interactive play. She especially loves chasing a Chuckit! ball and will happily bring you a toy while you're relaxing, hoping for another toss.
Marigold is fully house-trained, crates well for up to eight hours, and enjoys car rides. She's affectionate with the people she knows, often stopping by for hugs and pets. Around strangers, she's shy and would benefit from a family willing to continue building her confidence through positive socialization.
Because she prefers to enjoy meals and long-lasting chews on her own, she'll need to be fed separately from other dogs. She shares regular toys well but should be supervised with stuffed toys since she likes to shred them.
Marigold is looking for a patient, active family who will appreciate both her playful spirit and her sensitive side. If you're searching for a fun-loving companion with an infectious smile and a heart full of joy, Marigold is ready to steal yours.
