Meet Artemis, or “Artie” to his friends. He is a 5 month old Pit Bull mix currently weighing in at 30lbs. He is located in Niwot, CO.
Artie is already mastering the fine art of being everyone’s best friend. He’s outgoing, confident, affectionate, and hilariously expressive. Whether he’s chasing toys, wrestling with dog friends, splashing in a kiddie pool, or curling up beside you for snuggles, he’s happiest simply being part of the fun He tilts his head when you talk to him
Artie loves other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine buddy who enjoys wrestling, chase games, and zoomies around the yard. He plays enthusiastically and is learning to recognize when another dog might not want to party quite as hard as he does. He would likely thrive with another playful, confident dog buddy who can match his energy and continue teaching him good dog manners.
When playtime is over Artie turns into a cuddle puddle. He loves scooting next to humans or dogs on the couch, bringing toys into your lap to enjoy, and following his favorite people around like a fuzzy little shadow. He’s the kind of puppy who genuinely wants to be involved in everything you do.
For a puppy, Artie has an impressively calm and adaptable side. He’s happy entertaining himself with toys while you work, does wonderfully in his crate, sleeps through the night, rides great in the car, and is already learning commands like “sit,” “down,” “kennel,” and “go to bed.” He’s smart, food motivated, and eager to learn, which makes training both fun and rewarding.
Like any young puppy, Artie is still working on a few things. He’s continuing his potty training, learning not to jump when excited, and practicing polite manners around food and on leash when distractions are nearby. He loves kids and would likely do best with older or dog-savvy children while he continues learning polite puppy manners.
Artie’s ideal home would give him lots of love, continued training, daily playtime, and plenty of opportunities to be included in family life. He would likely love another playful dog, older kids, outdoor time in the sunshine, and humans who appreciate an affectionate, silly puppy who wants to be everyone’s best friend. He truly is an easygoing, happy little guy who is going to make one very lucky family incredibly happy.
