Meet Roo!
If you're looking for a dog thats as smart as she is spirited, this little cattle dog is ready to find her perfect match. She has all the traits that make heelers so incredible—loyal, eager to be involved in everything you do, and always ready for the next adventure.
Because of her intelligence and drive, cattle dog experience is required. She is not a good fit for first-time dog owners and will not do well in an apartment. She needs an active home that understands the physical and mental exercise this breed requires.
She is mostly house trained and fully crate trained. While she isn't a fan of going into her crate, she settles down quickly and does well once she's inside. She's also not destructive, especially when her mind and body are kept busy.
She would absolutely thrive in a home with another playful dog who can match her energy. Having a canine companion helps keep her engaged, gives her an outlet for play, and allows her to be the happy, confident dog shes meant to be.
Her ideal home:
- Experienced cattle dog owner
- Active lifestyle with plenty of exercise and enrichment
- Fenced yard (no apartments)
Another playful, energetic dog would be a huge bonus
- Someone committed to continuing her training and helping her reach her full potential
She isn't the right dog for everyone but for the right family, shell be an incredibly loyal companion who will stick by your side through every adventure.
As of July 10th Roo is estimated to be 4 months old and weighs 19lbs.
