Blossom’s story begins the way too many in Texas do she was dumped in a neighborhood and left to fend for herself. She roamed for weeks while kind people fed her, but no one brought her inside. When we saw the plea for help, we knew we couldn’t look away and that’s when Blossom’s second chance began.

Blossom is a high energy cattle dog who is looking for an active home that understands her breed and is ready to meet her where she’s at. She thrives when she has a job (or at least thinks she does), whether that’s hiking, playing, learning new skills, or just being your shadow through every adventure.Blossom is what we like to call a stage 5 clinger, and opposite of many rescue dogs she absolutely adores men.

Blossom is working on crate training but at the moment she is not a fan. It’s clear she didn’t have much (if any) indoor experience before rescue, so she’s been learning the ropes of house life and doing great with consistency. She’ll continue to succeed in a home that can provide structure, routine, and patience as she builds confidence and understanding.

She walks well on a leash and would love an active lifestyle think hikes, long walks, or even agility work. She is incredibly intelligent and very treat motivated, which makes her a great candidate for continued training or dog sports.

Blossom is dog friendly with dogs of all sizes and would do best with a playful companion who can match her energy. When she’s not on the move, she’s all love this girl is affectionate, loyal, and lives for giving cuddles. We don't know how she is with cats.
