PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE INQUIRING – WE RESPOND FIRST TO THOSE WHO PUT IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION

ROXIE IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED NEAR CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA.

Roxie was found as a typical stray in Cleveland, Texas—an area known for dogs being dumped and left to fend for themselves. Thankfully, she made it into rescue and is now getting a second chance at a safe and loving home.

Roxie is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves kisses, cuddles, belly rubs, treats, and playing chase. She can be a bit skittish at first and may need some time to warm up, especially with loud noises or sudden movements, but once she trusts you, her goofy, playful personality really shines. Roxie is potty trained and crate trained—while she may hesitate getting into the crate, she settles well once inside. She is currently working on leash skills and basic commands like “sit” and continues to improve with consistency. Roxie does well with other dogs and is learning how to interact and play appropriately, making great progress each day. She’s eager to connect and loves being around her people.

Roxie is heartworm positive, which is common among strays in the South. The good news is that she is completing treatment and is on her way to being heartworm negative soon. If you have any questions about her health, please don’t hesitate to reach out via email.

Roxie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400.

If you’re interested in giving Roxie her forever home, please complete our adoption application linked below. Thank you for considering this sweet pup!
