Meet Ruth — 91 Pounds of Sweetness Looking for Her Forever Home
Those eyes! Ruth has absolutely mastered the puppy-dog look, and we're pretty sure she knows exactly how effective it is.
Ruth is a big, beautiful girl weighing about 91 pounds of pure sweetness, with an equally big heart to match. She's affectionate, loving, and ready to find the family she was supposed to have all along.
Sadly, Ruth knows what it feels like to be unwanted. She was dumped, but thankfully, a kind woman stepped in and gave her a safe place to land when she needed it most. Unfortunately, her rescuer is unable to keep her permanently, which means Ruth once again finds herself searching for a place to truly call home.
And this time, we want it to be forever.
Ruth has already experienced enough uncertainty in her life. She deserves to know what it's like to have her own people, her own comfy bed, and the security of knowing that when she closes those big beautiful eyes at night, she'll still be home when she wakes up in the morning.
At 91 pounds, Ruth may be a big girl—but we're fairly certain she hasn't gotten the memo. Don't be surprised if she decides she's perfectly lap-sized.
Ruth doesn't need another temporary stop.
She needs her person. She needs her family. She needs HOME.
If those soulful eyes are speaking to you, maybe they're trying to tell you something.

Let's make sure the next place Ruth lands is the last one she'll ever need.
Note: Adoption Policy: Montague County Animal Rescue typically does not adopt dogs to homes where they will live primarily outdoors. We believe every dog deserves to be part of the family and live safely indoors. Exceptions may be made for specific breeds or unique circumstances where an outdoor environment is appropriate and secure.
