Meet Polar Bear!

At 82 pounds and 5 years old, Polar Bear is a big, beautiful boy with an even bigger heart. When he was found in distress on the side of the road, his skin was painfully raw and irritated and required medical intervention. His owners were contacted, but they were not interested in taking him back. Thankfully, he's now receiving the care he needs and is continuing to heal, both physically and emotionally.

Polar Bear is also being treated for a mild case of heartworm disease, and we're hopeful that with continued care, he'll soon be feeling his very best.

This gentle giant likes other dogs, but he can be shy and needs slow, patient introductions to help him feel comfortable. He is housebroken and is learning that people can be kind, life can be safe, and there are better days ahead.

Polar Bear has been through a lot, but he's still holding onto his sweet spirit. He deserves a patient family who will give him the time, love, and security he needs to truly blossom.
