Shelby (Houdini) - American Staffordshire Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota

Shelby has the sweetest, most honest eyes. She is a 2-year-old, 50-pound Terrier mix with a difficult past. She experienced abuse in her first home, so she can be a very fearful girl. She initially struggles to trust new people and prefers slow, predictable movements. However, once she bonds with you, she adores you and sticks to your side like glue!

When Shelby finally comes out of her shell, she is quite the playful dog. she loves her toys, hopping around, and chasing down sticks. Not only is she incredibly loving, but she is also potty trained, sits easily on command, and gets along well with other dogs.

Because of her history, Shelby is looking for a gentle, understanding, and patient family. We prefer an adult only home for her, where she can feel secure away from fast movements and loud noises.

Shelby is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. You can visit her at the shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.
