Pennie is a happy-go-lucky girl with pretty green eyes and pointy ears, the sweetest face, and white fur with brown spots that remind her foster parents of a little cow! This 4.5-year-old, 49-pound, spayed Pit Bull mix has a heart as sweet as her face and a knack for making you feel like her favorite person. She's affectionate, people-oriented, and never one to turn down a little extra attention. If you're looking for a companion who will happily remind you when it's time for pets, Pennie's got you covered!

Pennie was found roaming the streets of San Antonio and taken in by someone who wanted to help but wasn't able to keep her. She's now being fostered in Austin, Texas, and is available for out-of-state adoption, with transport arranged by the rescue once she's matched with an approved adopter. The adoption process includes an application, phone interview, video call with the foster home, virtual home visit, and vet and personal reference checks.

Pennie has a lovely, moderate energy level. She enjoys getting outside to run, play, and stretch her legs, but she's equally happy to call it a day and curl up beside you for a nap. She's the kind of girl who can enjoy a little adventure and then happily settle in for some quality couch time. She's also a social butterfly with other dogs! She's been around dogs of all sizes and would love a well-balanced canine companion to share her home with. She could also thrive as your one and only, as long as she gets plenty of love and attention and has someone home more often than not. When excitement strikes, Pennie can be a little vocal, too. She has things to say, and sometimes she just can't keep them to herself!

Pennie is crate-trained and knows *sit* and *shake*. She's a little nervous in new places and may need some time to feel comfortable when she's somewhere unfamiliar. With patience and reassurance, she'll have the chance to settle in at her own pace and let her sweet personality shine. Car rides can make her nervous, too, so she'll appreciate a little extra encouragement as she gets used to traveling.

We don't know how Pennie does with cats or children, so those introductions would need to be handled thoughtfully. We recommend a home with children **12 or older** who understand dog boundaries and can interact respectfully with her.

Pennie is a sweet, affectionate girl who wants to be part of your everyday life. Whether she's leaning against you for cuddles, offering you her paw to request a little attention, or snoozing beside you after a play session, she's happiest when she's close to her people. She's got the looks, the loving personality, and just enough silly charm to keep life interesting.

If you're looking for a devoted companion with cow-like spots, a happy spirit, and the perfect balance of playtime and snuggles, Pennie might just be your girl.
