DESCRIPTION
Meet Taylor, a shining star who's overcoming adversity with courage and resilience. She came to Charleston Animal Society with scars all over her body and a severe wound on her tail that eventually required amputation. She was in a lot of pain and struggling, but with some medical care and TLC, she made it through. With the painful area of her tail gone, she is feeling much better and has much more energy. Taylor may be a bit hesitant at first, but she warms up in no time and even loves to give people kisses. She is also motivated by food, so you could become her new best friend with a couple of treats and a little bit of time.
Taylor's ideal home would be one with a person or people who can give her lots of affection and treats as she gets back on her feet, and maybe even another calmer dog who can show her the ropes. As long as you have some yummy snacks, a little patience, and a lot of love to give Taylor is the girl for you. She will be waiting patiently for her happily ever after here at 2455 Remount Road.
ABOUT: AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER DOG BREED
The American Staffordshire Terrier, also known as the Amstaff, is a medium sized, muscular breed known for its loyalty and courage. Developed in the United States, they are intelligent and affectionate dogs, making them great family companions. With a distinctive short coat and strong build, American Staffordshire Terriers are often misunderstood due to their past as fighting dogs, but they are actually loving and playful pets when raised in a nurturing environment. They thrive on human interaction and are eager to please their owners.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
