Bean is a compact, sturdy little guy with a big personality and an even bigger capacity to bounce back.
He came into the shelter as a stray and had clearly been through some things. At intake, he had multiple puncture wounds on his chest consistent with a bite, along with skin issues and ear infections. Despite all of that, he remained incredibly friendly and easy to handle.
Since then, Bean has received medical care to treat his wounds, skin, and ears, and is currently hospitalized with one of our vet partners for treatment of an upper respiratory infection. Once he’s cleared for discharge, he will move into a foster home where we’ll continue to learn more about him.
Bean is a people-forward dog. He’s friendly, social, and wants to be part of whatever is going on around him. He walks into a space with confidence and curiosity, and once he settles in, his personality really starts to come through.
He does have an angular limb deformity, which may predispose him to arthritis over time, so he’ll need an adopter who is mindful of that long-term and committed to keeping him comfortable and supported.
Overall, Bean is resilient, affectionate, and ready for a fresh start. He’s looking for a home that will continue his care, give him structure, and let him fully settle into the life he’s been working toward.
