Arrival story:
We found Scottie at Oakland County Animal Control where hed spent a year waiting for someone to notice what an awesome dog he is.

Approximate age / Weight: 2 yrs old and 70 lbs.

Personality: Before you ask... yes, these ears are real and theyre fabulous!
Scottie has a talent for making friends wherever he goes. He likes other dogs, loves exploring, and takes his job as the neighborhood Squirrel Supervisor very seriously. Those little fuzzy acrobats are always up to something, and somebody has to keep an eye on them. You're welcome!

Despite a year in a shelter, Scottie has great house manners with no potty accidents reported since arriving in foster care. He does enjoy a good nap on the couch, though. Scottie will keep tabs on you and follow you around the house, helping with things that do not require a dog to do. Hes a curious boy and "highly invested in everything like, What's that smell? Who walked by? Is that a leaf... or a squirrel in disguise? These are important questions he needs answers for.

Happy to hang out with his dog buddies, go for walks, or lean into you for some quality affection, Scottie is an easy-going guy with a big heart, even if his ears occasionally pick up radio stations from three counties away. Scottie has spent time at the office with his foster dad and enjoys a car ride, too.

Ideal Home:
Scottie would fit into many home situations. He adores humans and would enjoy a dog pal, as well.
