Meet Mister

Mister is a distinguished gentleman of about 2.5 years old - old enough to appreciate the finer things in life, and young enough to still indulge in fabulous, joyful zoomies when the mood strikes.

Mister knows what he likes, and he also knows what is a very polite but firm "no, thank you." That said, he can absolutely let loose and be the silliest goober you'll ever meet.

Mister's Likes & Dislikes

Big Yeses:

Chauffeured car rides to buy toys - he will personally select one and deliver it to the cashier like a true gentleman
Dog park or Paws for a Beer - as long as he may bring his emotional support "Place"
Fireside snuggles with his human - preferably with maximum cuddles and minimum interruptions

Polite But Firm No Thank Yous:

Overstimulating new experiences before he has had a chance to bond with you - Mister prefers his adventures with someone he knows and trusts
Bicycles or motorcycles - how uncivilized! But mostly just when he sees them from the car.

Mister is not just handsome - he is highly educated. His academic achievements include majors in:

Mister does not currently live with children, but has in the past and has been around them in public settings. He is polite, thoughtful, and mindful of his manners. Mister needs to have a job and thrives when his humans use the tools and structure he has worked so hard to learn. He has a difficult past, and he has overcome it through clear boundaries, consistency, and learning a new way to be his best self. Structure and expectations don't limit Mister - they help him feel safe, confident, and successful.

Because of this, Mister is looking for a home that:

- Enjoys training and structure
- Will continue using his tools and routines
- Wants a true partner dog, not just a couch ornament

Mister comes with an impressive foundation of training and life skills, and Happy Tails Happy Homes will support his adopters in learning all of his systems, tools, games, and routines. Many of his skills are built into fun, interactive games like "Yours, Mine," "Place," and "Tug."

With the right guidance, this will create an incredibly strong bond between Mister and his person.
