DESCRIPTION
Balto is a handsome 9-year-old Malamute who is searching for a fresh start. Life hasn't always been kind to Balto, but we're committed to helping him find the bright future he deserves. Balto has a big personality in a big body. He's talkative, expressive, and isn't shy about sharing his opinions. He can also be jumpy and mouthy when he's excited, and his enthusiasm sometimes gets the better of his manners. Because of this, Balto is looking for a home that can provide consistency, structure, training, and thoughtful management to help him be his best self. Balto would do best with older children who can comfortably interact with a large, energetic dog still working on his manners. He has done okay with some dogs, but we recommend a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs to ensure everyone is a good fit. Cats and small animals are not for Balto, so he is seeking a home without either. While Balto may require a little extra patience and guidance, he also has so much love and personality to offer. For the right family, he'll be a loyal companion who will keep life interesting and rewarding. If you're willing to invest the time and commitment he needs, Balto may just be waiting for you.
